Two talented high school culinary students brought home the win at a recent community chili cook-off hosted by Grace Baptist Church.
Seniors Marie and Andres represented Gardner Edgerton High School’s culinary program at the event, competing against numerous community teams who submitted a wide variety of impressive chili recipes. Despite the strong competition, the duo’s entry stood out among the judges, earning them first place in the cook-off!
The students were thrilled with the win and proud to showcase their skills beyond the classroom. Teacher, Richard Wilkes, shared that the pair “knocked this out of the park” and expressed immense pride in their accomplishment.
Congratulations to Marie and Andres on a well-deserved victory!
